Jul 01, 2025 Hindustan Power has won a significant contract from state-run SJVN to develop a 100 MW solar power plant coupled with a 200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). This project is part of a larger 1,200 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar initiative, which includes 600 MW of solar capacity paired with 2,400 MWh of energy storage. The storage component is designed to deliver 600 MW of power backup for four hours, ensuring grid stability and renewable energy reliability.
